Between being lucky and an opportunist - there aren’t a lot of things that I want to do that I haven’t tried…
Consequently, my bucket list is short, but populated with either expensive or pretty complicated items.
Over a decade ago I started writing songs - well, lyrics for my songs.
Over the time I scribbled, hummed and sang each tune hundreds, more likely, thousands of times.
It was my father’s diagnosis with a terminal condition that made me realise I truly wanted him and the world to hear my music.
Because what is happier than Christmas music?
While I come from a family of musicians, I can only play a CD player. As a teen, my dad‘s band opened for The Turtles, my mum played 12 years of conservatory piano and my brother can play anything he sets upon… me? Nada.
So this is the adventure we’re on - a non-musician with music in her heart, lyrics in her head and a plan to squeeze them out of her vocal cords and into the world!
On to the bucket list and a Marvellous Christmas!
